Iconic Species of Saguaro National Park

The iconic saguaro cactus dots the landscape of this national park in southern Arizona, just 50 miles from the Mexican border. From lowland Sonoran desert landscapes to isolated sky islands dominated by conifer forests, Saguaro National Park is home to a diverse community of organisms. In this collection, you will find a list of species representing the diversity of organisms across the park. Many of these species and more will be identified and counted as part of the National Geographic BioBlitz help in Saguaro National Park on October 21-22, 2011.
